Banners as a form of rejection from Mumunggang residents, related to the excavation of PDAM pipes that will be carried out on the main road of Mumunggang, Karawaci, Tangerang.

 

Tangerang, Jl. Subandi - The planned excavation of clean water pipes owned by PDAM Tangerang Regency, which is run by Tirta Kerja Raharja (TKR), has experienced a little difficulty from the response of residents from various points of view.

 

This is because the excavation project will cause congestion for passing vehicles, and also this has the potential to damage the order and arrangement of asphalt which is very clear and has been tidied up after completion. Residents are worried that after the excavation for asphalt settlement, it will not be done according to procedures which will make the road damaged.

In order to find out more information, the team interviewed one of the residents who owns a business on Jalan Mumunggang, Subandi, namely Mrs. Iis Cuhaeti. She has an MSME business, namely a fried rice stall. Mrs. Iis, who has been selling since 2020 and has a business stall next to the main road, has concerns about the excavation of pipes because it will have an impact on income, access and order when selling.

"I am worried about my selling stalls having to shift and the decrease in consumers due to the effects of the PDAM excavation, and if the land transfer is still around the excavation, then I will not be able to sell, I can count in a period of 2 - 3 weeks because I sell at night." Said Mrs. Iis (Monday, October 23, 2023).

The community wants the road to be smoothed in accordance with procedures and also as much as possible the residents ask for the village and Karawaci sub-district, this project was carried out at several points on the main road, so that not only the Subandi community but also the Galeong and Sangiang communities rejected the excavation of PDAM Tangerang Regency pipes.
